We've made it easier for members to access our expert guidance and advice on the move.

The MDU's new app was launched at the beginning of July, and is available for all members to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The app lets you access expert medico-legal guidance 24/7. You can customise your news feed to receive content of interest and relevance to you, get assistance by searching frequently asked questions and browse our vast archive of case studies, guides and articles, including from the MDU journal.

All of the content is updated regularly and is also available offline, so now it's easy to get expert medico-legal guidance and advice whenever and wherever it's convenient for you.

Having recently surveyed members' technology use, the MDU found that 69.4% of respondents would use an MDU app. Indeed, many members already use apps for work purposes, from providers including the BNF, NICE and the BMJ.

'We are delighted to offer our members guidance, advice and professional development through an app,' says Caroline Fryar, head of the MDU's advisory services. 'As doctors have ever increasing workloads and busy lives, it was important for us to create a tool which would be a convenient and useful way for our members to access practical advice and support whilst on-the-go.'

The survey also found that members aged 25-34 years were most likely to use a medical related app for work (75.4%) while those aged 55-64 years old were the least likely (33.6%).
